Common Sense wins award
A small shop in downtown Plymouth, MA won an award for upholding the historic look of the town. They put window displays relating to the season up every few months and use rustic signs and keeps up the appearance of the awning (which with most toher stores are fraying.) This story probally doesn’t seem to be of much importance to many but since i live there, i am able to see the significance of this award. in the past 3 years Plymouth has become more of a city and less of america’s hometown. With atleast 3 new hotel chains, 10 or more new food chains, and strip malls every 10 minutes, the historic look of the town is close to extinct. however, thanks to common sense they have set a new standard for the appearance of stores in historic plymouth. also, with the 400th celebration of the town coming up in 2020, they want to create a historic look to maintain the town’s importance. also, right next to common sense the owner is putting up the common ground cafe and bakery. this is good news because their food is amazing and all the ingrediants are all natural. check it out if your in MASS.
